ℹ️ ZigBee Protocol Basics:

ZigBee operates on the well-propagating 2.4 GHz frequency, ideal for indoor environments.

ZigBee uses MESH networking, meaning that each fully powered ZigBee device (L+N) acts as a signal repeater for others. If a distant sensor has no direct link to the ZigBee hub, it can still connect via another fully powered ZigBee device that does — up to 3 hops. This provides reliable communication throughout your home.

Upon status change, ZigBee devices connect to the gateway in 0.2 seconds, while WiFi devices need around 5 seconds. ZigBee offers significant advantages in automation performance.
